GCA Stand Up 101

Learn the basics of stand-up comedy in a structured class setting

Class taught by Matt White & Ryan Erwin

  • Mold topics into an original routine through a weekly on-stage performance workshop

  • Translate your ideas into a crafted act through proper joke structure and editing techniques

  • Experiment with elements of improv and acting principals to create a unique and organic performance

  • Hone your joke crafting skills with a focus on writing content

  • Six three-hour-long comedy class sessions (sometimes three depending on class size) at Goodnights Comedy Club, Tuesdays from 6:00 to 9:00 PM

  • A Graduation Showcase at Goodnights following the final class session (schedule permitting) in which participants perform for an audience of friends and family in a supportive, positive, and controlled environment

  • Class Dates 1/31, 2/7, 2/14, 2/21, 2/28, 3/7

  • Class Time: 6 PM - 9 PM

  • Grad Show 3/9 @ 8:00 pm
